Clinical Trials
If you are involved in nutraceutical research, whether you are trialling dietary supplements, functional foods or medicinal foods, you can be confident that Wellspring has the expertise to supply and QP release the Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP). We can also help with other aspects of the trial such as regulatory processes, patient recruitment, placebo supplies, and other bespoke requirements.
We understand that there has been a recent surge in nutraceutical research owing to the fact that more and more, consumers are seeking alternatives to pharmaceuticals for the prevention and cure of conditions and illnesses as well as for general wellbeing. We can help you methodically trial your nutraceutical to allow you to make certified claims on its effects.
Vitamin Supplies for Clinical Trials
When a vitamin is investigated in a clinical trial to treat a particular medical condition, that vitamin automatically becomes classed as an IMP for the purpose of the trial. As such the vitamin manufacturer must be proven to be GMP compliant and QP (IMP) will be required to perform a QP declaration to support the clinical trial application to the Notified Body (E.g. in the UK, MHRA).
Here at Wellspring we have a team of QP IMPs experienced in all aspects of clinical research who can work with you to release the IMP for your trial. We are already working with various hospitals supplying vitamin D2 and D3 for trials.
